The Obituary posted by the family
Marion “Bill” J. Dwiggins was born to Marion A. Dwiggins and Bertha Wright Dwiggins on February 16th 1930 in Newark, Ohio. At 87 years old, he left to be with his heavenly Father on August 26th 2017 while at Mercy Gilbert Hospital in Arizona. He shared a life, well-loved, with his wife of 59 years, Ruth Weekly Dwiggins.
After graduating from Hanover Toboso High School, he started to work at Holophane Co. until joining the Air Force from 1950 to 1954 working on the Boeing B-29 Superfortress. About two and a half years after returning to the Holophane Co with a certificate in mechanics he met Ruth. Within a month and with no doubt that she was the one he asked her to marry him over the phone. Not too sure of his sanity, Ruth said no, but it was not too long later that they were reunited and he began preparing their first home which they shared as husband and wife on June 28th 1958. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling, and spending time with his family. Being a health freak, he took pride in exercising regularly and taking his vitamins. Retiring on January 1st 1993, he was free to spend even more time doing what he loved best and later moved to Chandler, Arizona to be closer to family. As a man of God and country, he was a member of the Life Church UPC and the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, his son Flint Dwiggins with wife Bong, and his daughter Tonya Dwiggins Tevis with significant other Tony and her children Miquela Tevis, Laken Tevis (Bryant) Chappel, and Cambria Tevis. He was predeceased by his father and mother, as well as, younger brother Charles Dwiggins, half brother Arthur Casteel, and half sister Atta Wright.
