A devastating side effect of the teaching of evolution is the devaluation of humanity. If we are no more than an animal, a descendant of an ape, then of what value are we? If we are the product of a cosmic explosion and random mutations of nature we become a colossal accident without meaning or purpose.
One of the prevailing questions of all humanity is “Why are we here?” Why is all of nature in a delicate balance of harmony? How could the order of all of nature have just happened?
A life without purpose is empty and leads to depression and pointless existence. When we are confronted with the probability of Intelligent Design and come to believe there is a Creator with a defined plan for our existence, then we begin to find purpose and meaning to life. The side effect of faith in a Creator God is that we desire to know him and find out more about His plan for our lives.
You are special! You have value to God. You are not an accident. You are not a product of random evolution. You are a child of God. As such we are seeking to know more about His plan for our lives. We also come to value every life as a unique and special creation of God Almighty!
