Big Enough
Years ago we sang this song by Gordon Jensen,
"Bigger than all my problems, bigger than all my fears. God is bigger than any mountain that I can or cannot see. Bigger than all my questions. Bigger than anything. God is bigger than any mountain that I can or cannot see."
Life gets complicated sometimes. The job becomes overwhelming, the kids are out of control. Health issues come up out of nowhere. Problems mound up like mountains in our life. When we stand at the base of our problems and look up at them towering above us, it can squash our faith like a bug under a big giant foot!
God’s Word says to speak to the mountain and it will be removed! God can move any mountain that is in your path. He is greater. He can heal any disease; He is greater. He can make sense out of chaos; He is greater.
A contemporary song by Chris Tomlin expresses the same faith: “Our God is greater, our God is stronger, God You are higher than any other, Our God is Healer, awesome in power, Our God, Our God…”
Lord, help me believe that no matter what the mountain is in my life, You are greater!
